Absolutely approaching a modern day classic status, this text re-inforces the expository method of preaching. Originally I read this as a text in college but recently renewed my acquaintence with it attending graduate school. This book is a must for any biblical preacher's library. |

Spurgeons illustrations are timeless but it will take some special effort to find opportunities to use them in a modern day setting. Still, if it only gives you one illustration, it is well worth the price and worth having in your library | Click here to

John A. Broadus was the teacher, mentor and father-in-law of A.T. Robertson. John Broadus' commentary on Matthew is out of print and if you ever happen accross it, buy it. I have not read this book and it has been revised but here is a book that I plan on buying. You should too - :-) |
